part two of the green girl series.
every weekend i leave my car parked at the north hollywood metro station and hop on the train to go adventuring… i started doing this for my photowalks. i wanted to practice shooting heavily and didn’t want to be bothered with driving all over town. after realizing the convenience and eco-friendliness of it all – it has turned into a routine.
so now, i hardly drive anywhere on weekends. well, maybe to run important errands and to anna or jason’s house (and of course when there’s a party / event of some sort… which are fewer and well selected these days). otherwise, i’m either on foot or on a train. i will probably start working on figuring out the bus schedules into the westside and hollywood pretty soon.

I love this series. It’s great work and watching you develop and grow as a photographer while you challenge yourself is great fun to watch.

thanks, lady
i realize there are plenty things to see (and shoot) when i travel anywhere by foot. i hate being caged in my car.. which unfortunately is a necessity in l.a., i’m trying to get past that.

I dig the whole concept of this particular photo-walk hustle. Getting out to shoot is something I struggle with, and, once I get there I am usually annoyed because the spot didn’t inspire me. Do you have a particular circuit you get down with where you know you’ll be able and motivated once there?
